» Evening Standard, 29th September 2011: Life over 50 is even better for author » Jill Shaw Ruddock

Jill Shaw Ruddock’s recent book, The Second Half of Your Life, about living positively over the age of 50, garnered so many five-star reviews on Amazon’s website that it raised suspicions among other Amazon reviewers. However, Ruddock, right, ex-MD of investment bank Alex Brown and Sons, has taken the positive feedback as a boost and is launching the Second Half Foundation to enable people to rediscover the joys of growing old. The first event is a lunch next Monday with Mayor of Kensington & Chelsea Julie Mills, Ruby Wax and Judith Owen. The Second Half Centre is also due to open at St Charles Hospital, North Kensington, next year.

Shaw Ruddock believes “the feeling of not belonging to a community is a large and growing problem for our society and, in particular, the ageing population.”

Meanwhile her book continues to break all records on Amazon and now has 60 five-star reviews.
